This week we are engaging in a listening circle where everyone is welcome to share their thoughts on the HSR journey so far. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts with other members of The River, and the church leadership. This will inform their decisions as they parse out our next steps at The River.
The framework for the discussion will follow these 4 questions. We ask that you consider them before Sunday, even if its through personal reflection.
What are you wrestling with regarding this topic of inclusion in our church?
What haven’t you heard yet that you need to hear about this topic?
What more do you need to process your thoughts on this topic?What would you like our leaders to know/consider as they discern where next to go regarding this topic?
What would help to settle this in your heart?
We have invited two facilitators to guide us in a Listening Circle exercise. This is a safe and respectful place and time where each of us can make comments or ask questions that are percolating within your hearts and minds. We hope to take the pulse of the congregation in their understandings thus far and discern what our next steps might be; more discussion and/or education.
