Nursery Ministry

Sometimes people talk about kids as "the church of tomorrow," and that's true, but kids are also an important part of the church of today. We can't help but think that God is just as happy to hear the sincere prayers of a three-year-old as those of a fifty-five-year-old. So, at The River, we try to provide age-appropriate opportunities for all children so they know that they are a vital part of the church of today.

The Purpose of Our Nursery

The purpose of our Nursery Ministry is to provide the best possible care for children between the ages of 0-36 months. To accomplish this, our staff is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment in which all of the relevant needs of our infant visitors are met. A secondary goal is to allow the parents of these infants to feel completely at ease leaving their children in the friendly and competent care of our nursery staff.

What You Need to Know

At the entrance to the school in which we meet, you'll find our children's ministry information table. On it, you'll find all kinds of useful information about our children's ministries including information about our nursery. This is also the place where you sign your child(ren) into one of our programs.

* Our nursery ministry is for all children newborn to 3 years of age

*The nursery is located in the school student resource room across from the washrooms

*The nursery is available for the entire length of the worship service and may be accessed at any time

*To provide peace of mind, parents accessing the nursery will recieve a pager to carry with them into the worship service. Should your child need you for any reason, you will be alerted via page during the service.

*After the service, parents are encouraged to pick their child(ren) up from the nursery promptly in order to give our nursery staff time to clean up appropriately.

Well Baby Nursery

Because we are committed to the health of all our children, we cannot accept children who are sick. Consequently, if your child is displaying cold or flu like symptoms, has an infection or the like, we politely ask that you keep them home with you.
