Sunday Morning Classes

I Believe

Who does it really mean to be a Christian? A follower of Jesus? What do we mean when we say “baptized in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit”... Discuss these and other questions as you consider being baptized and /or professing your faith. Usually 9-10:15 AM, on four alternate Sunday mornings. January-April.

Covenant Partnership gatherings

Four Sessions: Usually 9-10:15 AM, on four alternate Sunday mornings October-November and April-May. The purpose of Partnership classes is to help you understand what it means to become a Covenant Partner of The River Community Church. The class focuses on the vision and mission of the church and the blessings and responsibilities of partnership. Our meeting times also give all an opportunity to get to know others and be encouraged you to go, give, and grow as we gather as followers of Jesus on God’s mission with this community and in your neighbourhoods.

The Paddle, a guidebook to The River which you’ll receive as a participant, contains a lot of background information and study materials. It reviews the essentials of the Christian faith and life, our church perspectives and affiliations, etc. To get the most out of our times together, we encourage you to read through this entire document on your own time and then bring your questions and comments to our gatherings. We pray that studying these materials and participating in the sessions will be an enriching and affirming experience for you. And we trust that God will lead and bless you as you paddle the River of life!
