Come all who are thirsty, come to the waters. (Isaiah 55:1) The theme of coming to the water reminds us all of the healing prayer which quenches our souls in the presence of Jesus. When we come honestly and openly to Him with our hurts, hang-ups He will provide us with new insights and healing. When we work, we work; when we pray God works! Prayer under girds and empowers all that we do at the River.
The prayer group is a wonderful way to connect with and get to know other people as we bring our praises and petitions to God’s attentive ear. This informal yet dedicated group meets Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30 PM. Contact Bill and Heather Marshall, 780-463-4365 for more information. Everyone is welcome!
Do you have something you need prayer for? Your prayer requests can be brought to the attention of any member of the ministry and leadership team. You can also email requests. Your request will be forwarded to a group of Riverites who are willing to pray for you and for your situation. Details of the request are held in strictest confidence. Congregational issues can be brought to the attention of Pastor Bruce (pastorbruce@rivercommunity.ca), Pastor Karen (pastorkaren@rivercommunity.ca) and/or Kathy Dempsey-Glegloff (parish nurse) (kathy@rivercommunity.ca).
The members of this individual prayer team have experience with inner healing and will help on your journey through difficulty, such as anger, unforgiveness, past abuses, depression, anxiety, etc.. The personal prayer team will be composed of two available members who will meet at a mutually agreeable time. We are flexible about meeting times in order to accommodate a variety of needs. We hope and pray you will take the opportunity to face the challenges in life with fellow believers who will walk beside you through your valley. Please contact Carolyn Nieuwenhuis at the River (mscjn@live.com) or Anne Vander Hoek at mosaicHouse (anne@mosaichouse.ca) if you have further questions or if you would like to schedule a time to meet.
